Hey ya’ll! My name is Shelly Udall, and I am a middle-aged woman who lives in West Tennessee, rasing Beef cattle and loving my career as a Firefighter.
My husband John and I bought our land and established our Ranch in 2008. We have what is called a Cow-Calf Beef Operation and run about 20 momma cows, and have a Registered Angus bull and two commercial bulls.
Both my husband and I, also have full-time jobs off the Ranch. He works for the Airline Industry, and I have been a Career Firefighter for 19+ years now and loving every minute of it!
Between us, we have 4 grown children and 6 grandchildren. We cherish the times when they come home to visit us at the Ranch, or when we can steal away for a weekend to go visit them.
Hope ya’ll will hang out with me and we will talk about how an old lady juggles a career and helps her hubby run a cattle ranch. We’ll talk about Hooves and Helmets!
What I do
About Me
On the ranch, we have cattle, horses, chickens, a dog, and a cat named Rusty. We stay busy on the Ranch, as there is always a new project, calving season, or winter feeding. My husband John and I enjoy riding our horses for pleasure, anytime we can find the time.
About Me
I have been working in the Fire Service for almost 20 years now. First, as a volunteer in 2001, and then I was hired as a Full-time career Firefighter in 2004. I am currently a Fire Apparatus Operator(just a fancy way of saying that I drive and operate a Fire Truck), and love every minute of it!
About Me
I love spending time with my families (I have two). My blood family, and my Fire family. GOD has blessed me to love BOTH of my jobs, and I am excited to be at either one!
